Dr. Denise grew up on Fort Myers Beach. She attended the Beach Elementary, Cypress Lake Middle School, Cypress Lake High School, and Edison Community College. She transferred to the University of Florida College of Agriculture and graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture in 1977. She then graduated with honors from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 1981. She practiced several years in Fort Myers before opening the Gulfcoast Veterinary Clinic in 1982. Her special interests include internal medicine and preventive care. She enjoys spending time with her family- twin boys (Michael and Brian), her two dogs (Maggie and Molly), and her 6 cats (Precious, Sage, BeBe, Otis, Miss S, and Fuggie).
Background

I transferred from Edison Community College in 1975 to the University of Florida College of Agriculture. I majored in Animal Science. I received a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture in 1977. I was accepted into the University of Florida's College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with honors in 1981. I moved back to Fort Myers, Fl and opened Gulfcoast Veterinary Clinic in December of 1982.
